It’s about this time of year that many of us begin to think about booking a holiday. Do you mind where you go?
If you’ve got your heart set on a particular country or area, you could well find no availability when it comes to last minute deals. If you’re happy to jet off absolutely anywhere, then you could leave it and see if a good deal comes up later, but if you have concerns about certain places, such as safety or the length of the flight, you could run into problems. You may also have a type of holiday in mind. Perhaps you’re looking for a beach holiday, would you be very disappointed if the only good last minute deals were for city breaks?
Are you fussy?
We can often feel as if we simply want to get away, somewhere hot where we can lounge around the pool all day, but the reality is, that we all have our own requirements. Think realistically about your needs and how you’d feel if your holiday didn’t tick all the boxes. If you usually stay in five star hotels, or book a large luxurious villa, will you still enjoy your break as much if you’re in lower grade accommodation? Getting a last minute deal really is about being very flexible. If you prefer not to make compromises, you may well struggle.
