Cyprus is steeped in ancient myth and legend and several places on the island have a particular mythological significance.

Instead you should think about hiring a motor bike or quad bike, or take an organised trip to the baths such as a Jeep safari. It may be a bumpy ride, but it’s worth the journey.

The emerald green waters and the seclusion of the spot really give it an otherworldly feel, as though you’ve stepped back to ancient times.
