Think you know all the beaches in the area? Here are some of the lesser-known beaches that you might like to discover on your next visit to Ayia Napa and Protaras…
A relaxing beach with all the basic facilities you need, such as toilets, umbrellas, and sunbeds. To find this beach, head to Cappadocia Avenue, and look for the sign near the Twilight Bar that will put you on the right track.
Hidden by reeds, Sirena Bay has a magical feel to it. The water is so inviting. You can hire a sunbed and umbrella here and enjoy a drink at the beach bar overlooking the bay.
Pezounospilioi Beach in Famagusta is popular with locals, yet largely undiscovered by tourists. You’ll find no beach facilities, but you’ll truly love the beauty of the magnificent rock pools, beach, and clear blue water.
Little Sand of Kambouri Beach
This pebble beach is generally quiet and a fun place for the kids to explore.
Head to the Liopetri village area and you’ll find this beautiful beach close to a forest that’s popular with walkers. Head on to the Liopetri river or take time out to enjoy a meal here.
Hidden away in a quiet area of Protaras, you’ll find Armyropigado, also known as Scout Beach due to its proximity to the local scout camp area. The beach can be found at the end of Lefkados Street, on Kapparis Avenue. Despite its seclusion, you’ll still find amenities available including sunbeds and umbrellas, toilet facilities, and a mobile cafe.
Everyone loves Malama Beach because it’s beautiful and peaceful, yet also great for water sports. Take the first right after the Zorpa roundabout to visit it. It’s just a small beach but you will find a few sunbeds and umbrellas available.
Konos Beach is well sheltered and has a lifeguard, so it’s also very safe. You can find the beach 4km east of Ayia Napa.
If you’re looking for a tranquil oasis, head to Katerko Beach which can be found between the slightly larger beaches of Sirines and Poseidon.
