Cyprus has many beautiful beaches, and there are certainly plenty to choose from in Ayia Napa. Here are some of our favourite Ayia Napa beaches which have earned the coveted Blue Flag. You really are spoilt for choice! Whether you’re relaxing with a book, soaking up the Cyprus sunshine, or getting active with water sports, you’ll find it all at Ayia Napa’s magnificent golden beaches.
The first blue flag beach on our list is beautiful Protaras. Find yourself a sun lounger and take time out to gaze across the crystal clear waters. It’s easily accessible, and with qualified life guards on duty during the bathing season, you can take a dip with total peace of mind.
With a picnic site, fine golden sand and calm waters, Landa beach is perfect for a family day out. It’s very easy to get to, and there’s a car park right near by. There are plenty of facilities such as showers and toilets and you can hire sunbeds if you’re not keen on sitting on the sand.
Vathia Gonia Beach
Vathia Gonia beach is the perfect place to spend a relaxing day. The fine golden sand stretches for 400 metres and the whole beach is sheltered from the wind, so you’ll always find the ideal place to sit and unwind. Fancy a spot of lunch or a cool drink? Then take advantage of one of the nearby cafes and restaurants. If you’re feeling more adventurous, there is also a range of waters sports available right on the beach.
Another gorgeous blue flag beach is Makronissos. Makronissos is made up of three small bays and is well sheltered. Everyone has their favourite spot on Makronissos beach. It’s close to restaurants and shops and other facilities.
Nissi beach is one of the most stunning beaches in Ayia Napa, so it’s no surprise that thousands of tourists flock here every year. The sea is very calm too, so it’s great for kids to paddle in safely.
Loukkos tou Mandi Beach
Loukkos tou Madi beach is located right next to Ayia Napa fishing harbour, so it’s the perfect place to take a stroll. You can take part in water sports here, or simply hire a sun bed and umbrella and enjoy a well deserved break.
All the beaches in Ayia Napa are beautiful, but perhaps the most picturesque is Konnos beach, situated four kilometres east of Ayia Napa. It may not be the most central beach, depending on where you are staying, but it’s well worth the journey to visit it. It is really sheltered and the water is very calm. It really is an oasis of tranquillity.
