No visit to Cyprus would be complete without spending at least one day exploring all that the Cape Greco National Park has to offer. Located right on the coast you’ll be treated to the most beautiful views, and it’s the perfect change from the beaches and liveliness of Ayia Napa, to add a little variety to a beach holiday.  Go unprepared, and you’ll still have a wonderful day, but read our list and you might just find some things you really want to see and do…

  1. Explore the nature trails

explore the nature trails

The nature trails that meander throughout the park are well signposted making it a great place to take a walk. Take the sea caves trail and not only will you see the stunning Kamara tou Koraka natural bridge and the famous sea caves, but you’ll also pass the pretty whitewashed chapel of Agioi Anargyroi. This is quite a lengthy walk, but there are plenty of shorter trails too such as the beautiful Aphrodite trail that’s just 3km long making it perfect if you have smaller children with you.

  1. Pack a picnic

All that walking is bound to give you an appetite, but instead of heading back into town, take a picnic with you and stop at the Cape Greco picnic site. With sheltered tables and benches you can eat in the shade away from the midday sun. You’ll want to linger here a while and soak up the panoramic ocean views.

  1. Go cycling

The park also has special trails designed specifically for bikes. You’ll discover more of the park on your bike and be treated to some breathtaking views on your journey.

  1. Plan a wedding

A great way to see the sea caves is on a boat. For the more adventurous, they can be explored by kayak, but if you prefer to take it easy, a small cruise will take you out to see the caves, while you put your feet up, relax and enjoy the view.

  1. Try diving or snorkelling

The crystal clear waters of this coast are perfect for both snorkelling and diving. You’ll find many experienced instructors so even if you’ve never tried it before, you’ll soon be confident with your new skills and have an experience you’ll never forget.
